The highly acclaimed Tibetan writer and film maker Jangbu will show his latest film “Yartsa Günbu”, a look at the social and environmental implications of the harvesting of yartsa günbu. The film is about the hunt for the highly valued “caterpillar fungus”, cordyceps sinensis, in the highlands of Tibet, which the artist also sees as a metaphor for the life of the Tibetan people: “The destiny of the Yartsa Günbu and the Tibetan people are alike.”
